How to apply Universal Maintenance Oil to flooringUpdated a month ago
Consult the TDS prior to using Universal Maintenance Oil.
Materials needed
- Surface Care Spray
- Universal Maintenance Oil
- Paint can opener
- Applicator Set
- White buffer pads
- Red buffer pads
- Supply of clean terry cloths/towel
- Nitrile gloves
- Water filled metal can with a lid for safe disposal of oil-contaminated rags and pads.
Application process
Preparation
- Clean the floor using Surface Care Spray.
- Let the surface dry for approximately 15 minutes.
Application
- Shake the package of Universal Maintenance Oil to thoroughly mix the contents.
- Work in areas of 50-100 sq ft, or areas you can accomplish within 15 minutes.
- Start each area by applying Universal Maintenance Oil to any borders, using the Applicator Set.
- Apply a small amount of Universal Maintenance Oil with a brush, then spread it out using a white or red pad.
- Be sure to allow Universal Maintenance Oil to absorb for 3-5 minutes, then remove excess oil with a cloth or a white pad. Each treated area should be wiped dry within 15 minutes
- After you have finished all areas, go over them again with a new white pad. The surface should not feel sticky when complete.
Clean up
- Tools can be cleaned using Raw Wood Cleaner.
